Open chords

Open chords, often called cowboy chords, are played near the nut and use one or more open strings. They are the everyday chords of songwriting: fourteen of them are described below, in three groups. Every chord name is a level 3 heading, so you can jump from chord to chord with your screen reader's heading keys. If this is your first visit, read How to read this site first.
